Level 2 State
Tarrant County
County commissioners voted along party lines to cut polling locations for the November election, approving 224 Election Day sites and 47 early voting sites, down from 316 and 50 in the 2022 midterms. That is 92 fewer Election Day locations in the third most populous county in Texas. The vote followed an eight hour meeting with testimony from more than 100 speakers, most opposed, and a rally by 30 civic groups outside the courthouse. A year earlier the county cut nearly half its early voting locations ahead of the 2025 election.
