The rumor is Misleading

Ballots and mail Georgia

“A judge has ordered Cobb County, Georgia to express mail thousands of delayed absentee ballots.”

The fact

A judge did order that, in November 2024, after a near-identical vendor failure in the same county.

It is not a 2026 order, and headlines from it are circulating again. What happened in 2026: a Marietta voter, Michael Olaribigbe, sued Cobb on Oct. 27 alleging nearly 2,900 ballots requested Oct. 6 to 15 were never mailed by the county vendor. He dropped the case on Oct. 28 after the county agreed to send replacements by express mail with prepaid return delivery. No judge ruled in 2026. Cobb disputes the scope, saying the delay affected a limited set of voters. Verified by 50501 Vets. If you requested a Cobb ballot and have not received it, contact Cobb Elections for a replacement.
