“New Justice Department charges prove noncitizens are voting in large numbers.”
The facts: Noncitizen voting is a crime, and it is rare. On Oct 5 the Justice Department charged 16 noncitizens in Florida, Louisiana, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, after 16 others on Sept 19 and 10 in Minnesota on Sept 30. These are dozens of cases, while more than 211 million Americans are registered to vote. Minnesota's Secretary of State notes 10 cases there would be 10 people out of about 8.5 million votes cast.
