The rumor is False

Georgia

“Fulton County is texting voters that their polling places have changed.”

The fact

Fulton County says it did not send the text messages some voters report getting about polling place changes.

The county has not said who sent them, and how many voters got them is not known. Georgia voters must vote at their assigned polling place on Election Day, so do not change your plans because of a text. Check your polling place on the Georgia My Voter page at mvp.sos.ga.gov or call 404-612-7020. Polls close at 7 p.m., and anyone in line by then can vote.

How this story developed

  1. Fulton County says some voters reported texts about polling place changes and that it did not send them. It tells voters to check the Georgia My Voter page or call 404-612-7020.
