Misleading Arizona

“Maricopa County got caught mailing ballots early, which proves the county is dishonest and the ballots are no good.”

The facts: Those ballots are valid, and the early mailing was a vendor error. The county's ballot vendor, Runbeck Election Services, mailed 3,126 general election ballots on Oct. 1 instead of the scheduled Oct. 7. The Maricopa County Recorder, after consulting the County Attorney's Office, says the correct ballots went to the correct voters and do not need to be voided or reissued. Posts calling this proof of dishonesty offer no evidence; ballots returned early stay sealed until processing begins. If you received one, fill it out and return it normally.
