Likely False
“Noncitizens are voting by the thousands.”
The facts: The administration's own numbers show dozens of cases, not thousands of votes. A Homeland Security Investigations official told the AP in September that the effort has produced about 1,600 voter fraud cases and 160 arrests. ProPublica found that from January 2025 through May 2026, fewer than 150 alleged noncitizen voters were referred for prosecution, 41 were charged, and 14 were convicted or pleaded guilty. More than 150 million people voted in 2024. Noncitizen voting is a crime, and it does happen. The record shows it is rare. Investigations are not fraud. Arrests are not convictions.
