The facts: NewsGuard never made that claim. On Sept. 30 a flydubai co-pilot attacked the captain and tried to crash the plane, which landed safely with 174 people aboard. A video branded as a NewsGuard report blaming the Democratic Party is fake, NewsGuard's CEO confirmed, and NewsGuard tied it to a Russian influence campaign that has impersonated news brands before the midterms. If a video claims a news outlet said something shocking, check that outlet's own website first.
