Unverified California
“Ballots were stolen in the Sacramento mail truck theft.”
Status: Postal Inspector Jonathan Lanning says there may have been ballots affected by the Oct. 6 theft. No confirmed count of stolen ballots has been released. Sacramento County began mailing ballots one day earlier, and some neighbors say ballots they expected that day have not arrived. Track your ballot on the California Secretary of State's website. If yours is missing, call or email the Sacramento County elections office and they will reissue it. The county counts only the first ballot it receives with a valid signature matching the voter's record.
