The facts: Federal law bars systematic removals from voter rolls within 90 days of a federal election, a window that opened Aug. 5, so no mass purge can happen before Nov. 3. Election officials in 25 states had already run their rolls through SAVE before the ruling. The real risk is to individual citizens SAVE wrongly flags: in Missouri, flagged voters get a letter and 90 days to prove citizenship, and cannot vote until it clears. Check your registration now, answer any citizenship letter right away, and if you are turned away at the polls, ask for a provisional ballot.
